Spaghetti Code

Spaghetti Code is a book I co-authored with Karlie Kloss (yes, that Karlie Kloss), illustrated by Remi Jose. It’s a story about pasta and perseverance, starring a young girl coding a spaghetti-making machine—but shouldn’t her code MAKE spaghetti, not LOOK like spaghetti? Published with Roaring Brook Press and available now.

Thanks to my celebrity co-author, this book has been making the rounds in some high-visibility spots, including the Today Show, the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and People magazine. 😱

Highlights of the Month

Besides enjoying summer in general, I got to go into a sound studio to record something fun for One Mad Cat and the Missing Book (stay tuned for details), I did story time at Ten Trees Books in Natick, MA, and I went fishing on Cape Cod.

Plus, friends from all over have been sending me pictures of One Mad Cat and the Missing Book spotted in their local bookstores, which has been so much fun to see. Lots and Lots of Ocelots is Coming Soon!

In just two weeks, my next book, Lots and Lots of Ocelots: A Skip Counting Book is coming out. This will be my third book launch in five weeks, so whew, it’s been a whirlwind. I’m really proud of this book, and I’ll dive more into it later because this newsletter is packed. I did send some pre-order bookmarks and signed bookplates out to Linden Tree Books, if you’d like to get some swag with your book.

I’ve also created a skip counting discussion and activity guide, available for free download on my website.

Free STEAM Publishing Panel

If you’re curious about writing STEAM books, I’m doing a free STEAM online panel with some other kidlit friends for the kidlit community.
